Ever wonder how you’d explain your life to someone who doesn’t know you? It can be difficult to describe yourself in a few brief words. I had the opportunity to do so when I became involved in a local organization and covered the following: In my life, I’ve been a Brownie, a Redman and a Blugold. I’ve had over 20 paying jobs in as many years. I’ve been a tour guide, a lifeguard, a bartender, a candystriper, a gas station attendant, a university refrigerator crew worker, an usher, a president and a resident assistant, to name a few. Currently, I own and operate an advertising firm, and my creative work has been featured regionally and nationally. I graduated with a bachelor degree in Journalism/Advertising in 1992. I also studied abroad where I grew in more ways than any other life experience. I am a mother, a wife, a business woman, a volunteer, a sister, a daughter, a cancer survivor, a loyal friend and a dog owner. I married a plumber who became a part-time politician. When I met him, his pick up line was “Is it hot in here, or is it just you?” He is exactly a foot taller than me and I’ve learned that we cannot polka together … ever. I have two unique and creative sons who both have great character, and a female Labrador who acts like a cat. I couldn’t imagine my life without any of them.
How would you describe yourself?
